0x8015402A
Sorry, this action can’t be performed at this time. Try again later. Visit www.xbox.com/support for more information

This may mean that the ability to change your Microsoft account is no longer available on the Xbox 360 console.

Solutions

To update your Microsoft account and resolve the issue, try the following solutions.

Solution 1: Recover your Microsoft account

If you no longer have access to the email you use to sign in to your Microsoft account, and it's an @outlook.com, @live.com, @msn.com, or @hotmail.com account, you can recover it by resetting your password.

Solution 2: Change the email account associated with your Microsoft account

If you no longer have access to or want to change the email account you use to sign in, go to How to change the email address associated with your Microsoft account.

You may want to change the email address for one of the following reasons:

  • You changed email service providers.
  • You changed your name or how you want to be addressed.
  • You want to use an email address that you'll remember more easily.

Solution 3: Change your gamertag

You don’t need to change your Microsoft account if you want a new gamertag. You can change your gamertag anytime at Change gamertag.

Note There may be a fee to change your gamertag.

Solution 4: Create a new Microsoft account for a family member

Creating a Microsoft child account allows you to set up content and purchasing limits for your child, and allows those settings to apply across Xbox One and Windows 10 devices. To create an account for your child and add them to your Microsoft family, sign in at account.microsoft.com/family and select Add a child.

Solution 5: Move your gamertag to another Microsoft account

You can’t move your gamertag to another Microsoft account. See Solution 3 above if you want to change your gamertag.

Solution 6: Share your Xbox Live Gold subscription and content on your Xbox One console

You can’t combine or merge Microsoft accounts, but if you have multiple accounts, you can share your Xbox Live Gold subscription and content on your Xbox One. To do this, make sure that all of your accounts are on the same Xbox One console, and then select that console as your home Xbox. Now you can share your Xbox Live Gold subscription with anyone else who signs in on your console.

See How to designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox to find out how.
