If you get this message and error code, it means that you’re currently signed in with the old (original) Microsoft account on another device. For example, you may be signed in with the old Microsoft account on your home computer or smartphone.
To resolve this issue, verify that you are not signed in with the old Microsoft account on another device. If you are signed in on another device, sign out and then again try to associate your gamertag with a different Microsoft account.
