If you get this message and error code, the Xbox 360 console you’re using has experienced a hardware failure and needs to be repaired.

Submit a console repair request
Your Xbox 360 console needs to be repaired at our service center. Submit a repair request.
Note The warranty period for the E74 error is three years from the original purchase date of the console. If your console is not covered by the three-year warranty period, you can still get your console repaired for a fee.
