Your cloud saved games are out of sync

Your cloud saved games and the saved game copies on your console are out of sync. Which do you want to use?

If you receive this message, it means there are two versions of a saved game available.

  • If you last played the game on this console, you should probably choose the local game save.

  • If you last played the game on another console with cloud storage turned on, you should probably choose the cloud-saved game save.

Can't enable cloud storage just yet

Can't enable cloud storage just yet. In Storage Devices, select your storage device and go to System Items, and delete the item “Cloud Storage Console Copy.” Then try again.

If you get this message, here’s what to do:

  1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to Settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device (for example, Hard Drive).
  3. Select System Items.
  4. Select Cloud Storage Console Copy.
  5. Select Delete.

Now, see if this fixed the problem.

Can't disable cloud storage because console copies of some items still exist

For information on how to turn off cloud saves, see Store your saved games in the cloud.

514 megabytes (MB) of storage space is required

Game saves in the cloud requires 514 megabytes (MB) of local storage space to store saved games before they are uploaded to the cloud. You need to free up 514 MB of space on your Xbox 360 Hard Drive or USB storage device. For information on how to do this, see Copy, move, or delete content.

Cloud storage is only available to Xbox Live Gold members

A Gold Xbox Live Membership is required in order to store game saves in the cloud (the Cloud Saved Games storage device). You can move saved games from the cloud to a local storage device regardless of your membership type (Free or Gold). For information on how to move content, see Copy, move, or delete content.

Lost connection to Xbox Live or need a connection to Xbox Live

Sorry, lost the connection to Xbox Live. Check your connection and try again.

You need to be connected to Xbox Live to use cloud storage. Sign in and try again.

To set up or use Cloud Game Saves, you must be connected to Xbox Live. If you are having trouble staying connected to Xbox Live, see Xbox Live connection problems. For information on how to connect to Xbox Live see Xbox Live wired connection or Xbox Live wireless connection.

Can’t Retrieve Information from Xbox Live, Status Code 80072746

There was a problem transferring the file to your console due to a network timeout. This issue is usually related to service availability or file size and interrupts all pending Cloud Game Save transfers.

To resolve this error, try the following:

  • Try syncing again later when network loads might be lighter.
  • Move large files out of Cloud Game Saves. Some larger files that are not required for your game experience can be stored on a local storage device or deleted. For more information, see Copy, move, or delete Xbox 360 content.
Note Deletion from Xbox Live Cloud Storage is final. Do not delete files that you need for your game save or other items.
  • Use a locally stored copy of the game save if you have one. For more information, see “How to copy and move items between storage devices” in Copy, move, or delete Xbox content.

Microsoft is aware of this issue, and we are working on additional solutions.
