Minecraft is a cross-platform game developed by Mojang. Microsoft publishes Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. You can get Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition on disc or as a download.

Differences between Xbox versions

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is available on disc or as a download from Xbox Games Store. There are no differences in gameplay. Saved worlds and game add-ons work on both.

Can Minecraft be played between Xbox and non-Xbox versions?

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition can only be played with other Xbox 360 consoles on Xbox Live. There is no cross-platform play with the other editions of Minecraft.

Support for non-Xbox versions

Microsoft only provides customer support for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. For all other versions of the game, go to Minecraft for support.
