Use your Kinect with front projection TVs

Solutions

The ideal position for Kinect is just above or below your TV screen, in line with the center of the picture. Kinect can be placed anywhere from 2-6 feet (.6-1.8 m) from the floor.

Kinect cable is not long enough

If the sensor cable is not long enough for your conditions, it might be necessary to move your Xbox 360 console or to use a Microsoft licensed extension cable.

The Kinect sensor cable is 9 feet (2.7 m) long, but you can increase the cable length by adding a 10 foot (3 m) extension cable (sold separately). Learn more about Kinect accessories.

Room lighting for Kinect

Many front projection TVs work best in a darkened room but Kinect works best in a room with bright, even lighting. Learn more about lighting.
