FedEx drop-off shipping instructions

When you have to ship your Xbox 360 console to Microsoft for repair or replacement, you can drop off your console at a participating FedEx store for normal ground or expedited shipping. You have the option of buying the necessary packing materials at the FedEx store or providing your own packing materials.

Locate your local FedEx drop-off store

1. Go to www.fedex.com.
2. Under Ship, select Find FedEx Locations

3. In the Your Location box, enter your Zip Code or your address/city/state or your phone number.
4. Important Under Filter Your Search by FedEx Services, make sure that you select the FedEx Return System check box. Search then finds only those FedEx stores that can ship your Xbox 360 console using the FedEx Return System.

5. Select Find locations, and then select the location that you want to ship from.

Only send us your console. Remove the hard drive, accessories, and discs before packing your console for shipping.

Do not send your accessories.

Remove the hard drive from your console:

1. Turn off the console.
2. Position the console horizontally.
3. On the right side of the console, locate the hard drive cover release close to the back of the console.
4. Slide the release toward the front of the console while pulling the hard drive door open.

5. Pull the tab to remove the hard drive.

Disconnect your accessories and power supply.

Disconnect the power supply from the back of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and from the power supply unit.

Make sure no disc is in the disc drive.
