Your Xbox LIVE app won't launch

It wants you to download it, but you already did that!

If you’re trying to launch an Xbox LIVE app that you have downloaded, and instead your Xbox 360 console is telling you that you need to download it again, there may be a problem with the local version of the app.

Deleting and re-downloading that app from scratch should fix this. Here's how to do it:

  1. From Xbox Home, go to Settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device (most likely Hard Drive).
  4. Select Games & Apps.
  5. Find the app that you are having a problem using.
  6. Select and Delete all items related to that app.
  7. Return to Xbox Home.
  8. Go to Apps, and then try to download and launch the app again.
