Error C101A004 occurs when trying to sign in to the Zune software

You see the following error when you're trying to sign in to the Zune software:

C101a004

This may mean that you're using a Microsoft account that's not associated with a Zune account.

To resolve this problem, try the solutions in the following section.

Solutions

Solution 1: If you have a Microsoft account that’s associated with your Zune account, sign in using that Microsoft account.

Solution 2: Create a new Zune account using the Microsoft account that you were trying to enter when you got the error.

If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support.
