Error message “You were signed out of LIVE because another person signed in using your account” occurs when you use Games for Windows Live

Problem

You may see the following error code and message when you use Games for Windows LIVE.

Error: You were signed out of LIVE because another person signed in using your account

If you get this error message, it means that your profile was used to sign in to Games for Windows LIVE on more than one computer or console at a time. Your profile can only be used to sign in to Games for Windows LIVE on one computer or console at a time.

If you’re connected to Games for Windows LIVE on a computer, and then you try to sign in with the same profile on another computer, the profile on the first computer will be signed out automatically.

Solution

To resolve this problem, make sure you’ve signed out of any other computers or consoles where you previously signed in.
