Fix Xbox SmartGlass connection and performance issues on mobile devices you use with your Xbox One console

You can use the Xbox SmartGlass app on your mobile device to browse and play content that's on your Xbox One console. You can also use the Xbox SmartGlass app on your mobile device to browse content (movies, TV shows, games, and apps) at the Xbox Store that you want to watch, and then launch that content on your console from your mobile device.

This article describes how to troubleshoot Xbox SmartGlass connection and performance issue on mobile devices.

Solutions

The SmartGlass app is slow to respond, or you get a slow-connection message

Solution 1: Phones and tablets

Although your smartphone or tablet can communicate with your console over a cellular network, you'll get the best performance if your phone is connected to the same wireless network as your console.

The Xbox SmartGlass app can't find or connect to your Xbox One console

Solution 1: Same Microsoft account?

If the Xbox SmartGlass app can’t find your Xbox One console, make sure the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox Live gamertag is the same Microsoft account that you use on your phone. If you don’t know the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox Live account, see Find your Microsoft account or password.
