High contrast setting on Xbox One overview

High contrast helps you distinguish between items and text on your screen. You can only enable this from the Ease of Access settings on your Xbox One console.

Follow these steps to turn on high contrast:

  1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select All Settings.
  4. Select Ease of Access.
  5. Select High contrast.
  6. Select On.

Note This is a console-wide setting. When enabled, all account users on the console will see light blue focus elements on a black background, with prominent white borders. Custom colors and backgrounds will not be displayed while in this mode.
