Use App channels with OneGuide

Overview

Select apps have programming that will show up in the OneGuide’s App channels section. Apps like Xbox Video, SkyDrive, and others have content that will appear in the OneGuide app channels after you run the apps for the first time. Different apps have different app channels. Content available for different apps ranges from featured editorial content to personalized favorites.

This page describes how to add streaming video apps to the App channels list in the OneGuide.

Add apps to the App channels list

Here’s how to add streaming video apps to your App channels list in the OneGuide:

  1. Go to the Home screen.
  2. Select TV.

Note If you receive an error message because you may not have a cable connection, press X on your controller to skip past. You can view app channels without having a cable connection.

  1. Scroll down to App channels on the left side of the screen.

  1. To the right of the More app channels tile, you’ll see apps with media channels that are available in your country or region. Scroll to one of the apps and press A on your controller. You will be sent to the Store.
  2. Download and install the app to your Xbox One.
  3. Start the app from My games and apps.
  4. Streaming video apps will then be automatically added to the OneGuide app channels list.
