The Xbox One console doesn’t recognize your guest key

Problem

If, when trying to sign in to Xbox One using a guest passkey provided by the console owner, the code entry field flashes red and the message “This passkey doesn’t match” is displayed, this means you’ve entered an invalid passkey code.

Solution

If the guest passkey you’re trying to use doesn’t work, contact the Xbox One console owner to verify that you have the correct 6-digit code. If the passkey still doesn’t work, the console owner will need to delete it and create a new passkey the next time he or she is signed in on that console.
