Web filtering on Xbox One enables parents to control what kinds of websites their child can access on Xbox One. Web filtering allows you to decide from among multiple options:
Allow List Only: Only websites a parent has added to the Allow list on Xbox.com.
If you have already created an Allow list that you use on your child’s Windows PC, that list will work for the Xbox One console when you select Allow List Only.
If you have not already created an Allow list for your child, sign-in at familysafety.live.com, select your child’s profile, and follow the instructions. You will need to repeat this step for each child account.
Designed for Children: Includes the above, and allows websites designed for children while blocking adult sites.
General Interest: Includes the above, and allows general interest websites while blocking adult sites.
Basic Communication: Includes the above, and allows social networking, web chat, and web mail while blocking adult sites.
Warn on Adult: Allows all content, and shows a warning before browsing to adult sites.
Turned Off: No web filtering.
