How to modify the closed captioning settings on your Xbox One console

Closed captioning is available when you watch supported DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and many on-demand video services. It’s easy to modify closed captioning settings. For example, you can turn closed captioning on or off and customize the way captions appear. Here’s how:

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to return to the dashboard.
  2. Press the Menu button and select Settings.
  3. Select Closed Captioning in the Console settings column.
  4. To turn closed captions on or off, or to customize how captions appear, select Closed captioning on and use custom styles.
