Update your Xbox Live payment option information

To update your Xbox Live billing information, such as your billing address, phone number or credit card details, you can go to the billing site on Xbox.com, or you can use your Xbox console.

Updating your billing information

Online steps: Update your billing information

  1. On a computer, open a browser and go to My Account.
    Note Don't try these steps on a mobile device because the information that you’re trying to access might not be displayed correctly.
  2. If prompted, sign in using your Microsoft account.
    Note Make sure that you sign in with the Microsoft account that’s associated with the Xbox account that you need to update. If you don't know your Microsoft account or password, see Find your Microsoft account.

  1. Select Manage Payment Options.

  1. If you're prompted, follow the instructions to enter the security code. Then, select Edit next to the payment option that you want to update.

  1. On the "Check your billing info" page, verify that your information is correct, and then click Save info.

  1. If you don’t need to make any other changes, click the circled X in the upper-right corner of the page.

Xbox One console steps: Update your billing information

  1. Sign in using the Xbox Live gamertag associated with the membership for which you want to update payment details.
  2. From the Home screen, select Settings.
  3. Select Payment & billing.

  1. Select a payment option, select Edit and then follow the instructions to update your billing information.

Xbox 360 console steps: Update your billing information

  1. Sign in using the Xbox Live gamertag associated with the membership for which you want to update payment details.
  2. From the Dashboard, go to settings and then Account.

  2. Select Update Payment Option.
  3. Select the payment option that you want to update, update the information as needed, and then select Next.
  4. Update any billing information as needed and then select Done. The payment update confirmation screen displays.
  5. Select Ok.
