How to get your Xbox product repaired

Getting your Xbox 360 console or Kinect sensor repaired is easy. We arrange for a product exchange at your location. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Register your Xbox product (if you haven't already)

Step 2: Submit an online repair

Let us know what’s wrong with the product.

  • We’ll let you know if the product is in warranty.

    In-warranty repair: Free
    Out-of-warranty repair: R900.00 plus tax (submitted online) or R1100.00 plus tax (submitted over the phone)

  • American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards are accepted

Check your warranty status (sign in with your Microsoft account if needed).

Time to complete: About 2 minutes

Step 3: Exchange your product

Someone from our service centre calls you to confirm your address for the delivery.

  • Remove all accessories and put only the console or sensor in a box for postage.
  • A courier comes to your location to exchange your non-working product with a product that works.

Time to complete: About 5 to 7 days

Step 4: Set up the replacement product

Set up your replacement product or sensor and get back in the game!

Time to complete: About 5 minutes

Turnaround Time

Once our service centre receives your repair request, someone from our service centre will call to confirm your address for the exchange. Please allow up to 7 days for delivery.

Post-service warranty

The length of the post-service warranty depends on whether your Xbox product is serviced while it is under warranty or not.

  • In-warranty service: : If your Xbox 360 console is serviced within the original warranty period (free repair), you receive either the balance of your original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.
  • Out-of-warranty service: If your Xbox 360 console is serviced out of the original warranty period (paid repair), your serviced console will have a 90-day warranty.
