CAUSE

The three flashing red lights may indicate that there is a hardware problem with your Xbox 360 console or power supply.

Step 1: Turn on the console, and check the light on your power supply

The power supply light is located on the black box that is in the middle of your power cord.

Step 2: If power supply light is green, try this solution

Solution: Submit a console repair request

Your console is in need of a repair. There are no additional troubleshooting steps. To begin the online repair process, click one of the following links:

Step 3: If the power supply light is red, is orange when the console is powered on, or is not lit, try these solutions

Solution 1: Unplug your console, plug it into a different outlet in a different room, and then turn it on

This will help determine whether the problem is with your power supply, your power outlet, or your console.

Solution 2: Request a replacement power supply

If the power supply light is still red, orange, or not lit, the problem is with your power supply. Contact Xbox Support to obtain a replacement power supply.
