CAUSEThe Xbox 360 console display settings may be configured to use a resolution that the original Xbox game does not support. Back to the top
THINGS TO TRYTo reduce the resolution setting of the console to a setting that is compatible with the game, follow these steps: | 1. | If your Xbox 360 console is a PAL console, set your PAL settings to PAL-50.
Notes| • | PAL consoles are generally only available in Europe and the United Kingdom, India, and Australia and New Zealand. | | • | If you are using an HDMI cable to connect your Xbox 360 console to your television, you will have to switch to a different AV cable (such as an Xbox 360 HD Component AV cable or an Xbox 360 Composite AV cable) to perform this procedure. | To change the console setting to PAL 50, follow these steps: | a. | In the Xbox Dashboard, select the System menu. | | b. | Select Console Settings, and then press the A button. | | c. | Select Display, and then press the A button. | | d. | Select PAL settings, and then press the A button. | | e. | Select PAL-50, and then press the A button. | | f. | When you are prompted to keep these new settings, confirm the settings, and then press the A button. |
| | 2. | If the previous step did not resolve the issue or if you do not have a PAL console, change the output resolution of your Xbox 360 console. To do this, follow these steps:| a. | In the System section of the Xbox Dashboard, select Console Setting, and then press the A button. | | b. | Select Display, and then press the A button. | | c. | Select HDTV Settings, and then press the A button. | | d. | Select 480p, and then press the A button. |
