| Account Migration: Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: I have an Xbox LIVE membership. Do I need a new one to use my Xbox 360 console on Xbox LIVE?A: Nope. The Xbox LIVE service you know and love supports both the original Xbox video game system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. Once you migrate your account information to your Xbox 360 console, you'll be all set for gaming on either system. Q: If I'm using Xbox 360 can I still keep in touch with my friends who aren't?A: You bet. Xbox LIVE is one service for all Xbox players, and your friends list spans both game systems. You'll still see each other in your friends lists and you'll still be able to swap messages or start up a voice chat. Q: Can I use my original Xbox console after I've started using my new Xbox 360 console?A: Sure. No matter which system you were using when you started your Xbox LIVE membership, you can sign in to Xbox LIVE from either console. Just use the same Gamertag and keep your membership paid up. Q: How do I migrate my Xbox LIVE account from my original Xbox console to my new Xbox 360 console?A: When you set up your new Xbox, you'll choose between creating a profile and recovering a Gamertag. If you have an account on Xbox LIVE, you'll want to recover your Gamertag. This process connects to Xbox LIVE to get all of the information for your account. (If you already created a new profile, don't worry; you can still recover your Gamertag later.) Then you're good to go!
