Support Notification Overview for Original Xbox

Due to the age of the Original Xbox console and games, Microsoft no longer offers factory repairs for consoles for which the Warranty has expired. An upgrade program will be maintained for systems that are within the Warranty period. Please see some tips and recommendations in the following sections.

Determining if your Original Xbox Console Is In-Warranty

If you have not yet determined if your Original Xbox console is in warranty, you can go to the Xbox Support Web site to register your console and then determine your warranty status. To do this:

  1. Register your console if you have not done so already. When you register your console, be sure to use the same Windows Live ID that you use with your Xbox LIVE account.
  2. After you register your console, go to the Repair Your Console page.
  3. On the Repair Your Console page, you can see the status of your warranty for your Original Xbox. There, you can determine if your Original Xbox console is in-warranty or if the warranty has expired.
