The Xbox video game system from Microsoft only plays music CDs that are in the standard CD Digital Audio (CD-DA) format. You can play audio CDs in your Xbox console, and you can copy tracks from audio CDs to your Xbox console. After you copy tracks to your Xbox console, you can arrange these tracks into soundtracks so that you do not have to use the original music CD. Note The Xbox console supports up to 100 soundtracks with up to 500 individual tracks on each soundtrack. Additionally, you can play soundtracks when you play Xbox game titles that support this feature. You can only play your own soundtrack during a game if the specific game title supports this feature. To determine whether a game title supports soundtrack play or how to play the soundtrack during a game, view the settings menu in the game or read the instruction manual for the game. Back to the top
