SUMMARY

Xbox Live supports cross-title invitations, which means you can make and accept invitations to different games than the one that you or other players are currently playing.

MORE INFORMATION

Note You can send invites to people on your Friends list only when they are actually signed on to Xbox Live. You cannot send invitations to people who are offline.

To invite a player to a game session after you are inside the game and logged in:
1. Select the player from the Friends List.
2. Press the A button.
3. Select Invite to send them an invitation.
When someone invites you to a game session for a game that you are not currently playing, you will see a game invitation icon flash on your screen. To accept or decline this invitation:
1. Open your Friends list.
2. Select the player who sent you the invitation (they willhave a pending invitation icon beside their name).
3. Press the A button.
4. Select Accept (or if you want, select Decline).
Upon accepting a cross-title invitation, you receive a message stating "Please eject your game Disc and insert game title to continue." Then the Xbox console reloads the new game title and you can accept the invitation to join your friend's game session.
