| Xbox 360 S-Video AV CableUse your Xbox 360 S-Video AV Cable to connect your console to a TV and an audio system. To connect to TV and audio:- Turn off your console.
- Connect the AV connector on the S-video cable to the AV port on your console.
- Connect the S-video connector on the S-video cable to the S-video input on your TV. Leave the yellow composite video connector unconnected.
- Connect the left and right (white and red) audio connectors on the S-video cable to the audio input on your TV, receiver, or amplified speaker system.
- Turn on your console. From My Xbox, System Settings, you can change your display settings. Select the appropriate screen size and resolution for your TV.
To connect your console to digital audio:- Connect the S-Video AV cable as described in steps 1–3 of "To connect to TV and audio."
- Connect your digital audio cable (not included) to the digital audio input on your receiver or TV and the digital audio output on the console end of the S-Video AV cable connector.
- Turn on your console. From My Xbox, System Settings, you can change your audio and digital output settings. Select the appropriate digital audio setting for your system.
TroubleshootingIf you encounter problems, try the possible solutions provided below. Picture with No SoundMake sure the video and audio connectors are connected to the same input group on the back of your TV. If you’re using digital audio, make sure the receiver is turned on and the output is correctly set in the Xbox Dashboard. Sound with No PictureVerify that the TV is turned on. Make sure the audio and video connectors are connected to the same input group on the back of your TV. If you’re using digital audio, make sure the TV has been set to display the input group that the S-video cable is plugged into. |
