When you insert an HD DVD disc into your Xbox 360 HD DVD Player, "Reading" appears on the screen for about two minutes, but the player does not read the disc. You do not receive an error message.

In rare cases, some HD DVDs may not operate correctly. This might happen because of variations in the manufacturing process or the software encoding of the HD DVD or DVD video software.

If another HD DVD plays on your player, the problem is probably with the disc. If no HD DVD plays on your player, the problem may be with your hardware. Please continue to the next section.
