| Logos for Xbox LIVE and Xbox 360Xbox LIVE Compatible The Xbox team and Xbox LIVE Compatible providers of high-speed Internet service are working together to make sure you can connect to Xbox LIVE quickly and easily. When you use a router or gateway (an integrated router/modem) with the Xbox LIVE Compatible logo, you can be sure it has been tested extensively on Xbox LIVE.  The Xbox LIVE Compatible logo is used for devices and services that allow users to connect to Xbox LIVE. You'll see the Xbox LIVE Compatible logo on things like routers, wireless bridges, and Web pages for high-speed Internet service providers, for instance. Licensed for Xbox 360 Third-party products bearing the Licensed for Xbox 360™ stamp have been tested extensively with the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. Such products, like headsets or controllers, will also support Xbox LIVE play.  Created by Xbox Products bearing the Created by Xbox stamp are authentic Xbox products designed for use only with the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. Only products manufactured by Microsoft will bear this stamp.  Xbox Compatible The old "Xbox Compatible" and "Xbox LIVE Compatible" logos are still in use and you'll continue seeing it on things like game controllers, memory units, and so on—products designed for uses other than home networking.   Our Xbox LIVE partners are now using the newer, Xbox LIVE Compatible logo. So you may see one router on store shelves with the "Xbox LIVE Compatible" label and another with the "Xbox Compatible" label. Or, you may see an Internet service provider's Web site with the new logo and a promotional flyer from that provider with the old logo. That's all OK. Any hardware or provider using the old logo is still compatible with Xbox LIVE gameplay, though it may not be compatible with the Xbox 360 system.  |
