Error 0x80151106 occurs when you try to play a game in Games for Windows Live

Problem

You may see the following error code and message when you are asked to enter the product key for a game that you have purchased in Games for Windows Live:

Error: Can't connect to Live. The logon error code is 0x80151106

This may mean that number of Xbox Live activations that are allowed for this product key has been exceeded.

Solution

To try to resolve this problem, you can purchase a new product key for your game. See Buy and download PC games for more information.
