Learn about gift cards and codes

With a Microsoft or Xbox gift card, you let the lucky recipient choose the gift they want. There are no fees or expiration dates, and either card can be used to buy:

Where are my subscriptions?

View and manage all your subscriptions in one place. Go to account.microsoft.com, press Sign in, enter your Microsoft account, then follow the prompts. Once you’re signed in, choose Services & subscriptions.

How can I see my gift card balance?

When you redeem a gift card or code, that amount gets added to your Microsoft account balance. To view and manage your Microsoft account balance, go to account.microsoft.com, press Sign in, enter your Microsoft account, then follow the prompts. Once you’re signed in, choose Payment & billing > Payment options.

Where are my games, apps, and add-ons?

How can I see my order history?

To see your order history, go to account.microsoft.com, press Sign in, enter your Microsoft account, then follow the prompts. Once you’re signed in, choose Payment & billing > Order history.

Notes

  • You can’t use Microsoft or Xbox gift cards to purchase content from the Xbox 360 Marketplace or Xbox 360 content on the Xbox One.
  • When you purchase a Microsoft or Xbox gift card, make sure that the currency you use matches the currency associated with the recipient’s billing account. Otherwise, the recipient will be unable to redeem the gift card.
  • If you redeem a Microsoft or Xbox gift card in a country that doesn’t match the country associated with your billing account, you won’t be able to use those funds.
  • The funds in your Microsoft account can’t be transferred after you redeem a Microsoft or Xbox gift card.
