Error code C0051011 occurs when you use your Kinect sensor

    Problem

You may see the following error code and message when you use your Kinect sensor:

    There's a USB connection problem.
    C0051011

This may mean that you have too many USB accessories attached to your Xbox 360 console or that one of your USB devices isn't working properly.

    Solutions

To resolve this problem, try testing your USB accessories and removing or replacing them if necessary.

    Xbox 360 E console

    1. Turn off the Xbox 360 console.
    2. Unplug the Kinect Sensor and any USB accessories from your console.
    3. Plug the sensor cable into the AUX port on the back of the console.
Important Remove the power/USB adaptor cable, if your Kinect sensor came with one.
    4. Turn on the console.
    5. One by one, plug each USB accessory back into the console to see if one of the accessories causes the problem. If you continue to see the USB error message, you might need to reduce the number of accessories attached to the console.

    Xbox 360 S console

    2. Unplug the Kinect sensor and any USB accessories from your console.

    4. Turn on the console.
    5. One-by-one, plug each USB accessory back into the console to see if one of the accessories causes the error.

    Original Xbox 360 console

    3. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working power point.
    4. Make sure that the Kinect USB connector is plugged in to the back of the console.
    5. Turn on the console.
    6. One-by-one, plug each USB accessory back into the console to see if one of the accessories causes the error.

If this solution doesn't resolve the problem, go to the Online Service Centre and click Start request to request a repair.
