    Error code c101000b occurs when you try to download content from Zune Marketplace

    Note As of 15 November 2015, the Zune service has been discontinued. This may cause errors when attempting to stream or download content or update the service.

    Overview

    When you see error code c101000b, it typically means that your virus protection software wasn’t able to scan content coming through your Zune software.

    When you download content from Zune Marketplace, the Zune software instructs your antivirus software to scan the new content as a security measure. When you see this error message, the antivirus software failed to complete the scan for an unknown reason. The scan failure does not indicate that a virus was detected in the downloaded content.

    Solutions

    • Confirm that the antivirus software on your computer is up to date and working correctly. Then, try downloading your marketplace content again.
    • If necessary, contact the manufacturer of your antivirus software for support.
