Error 0x803f800b occurs when you try to launch a game

You see the following error code when you’re trying to launch a game:

0x803f800b

This means that your subscription has expired.

Solutions

Solution 1: Review your payment information

If your payment info is incorrect, you must update it to continue using your Xbox subscription.

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  2. Go to Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
  3. Choose one of your subscriptions (Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass, etc.).
  4. Under Payment and billing, select Change how you pay.
  5. If the payment instrument is incorrect or not up to date, select Add a new way to pay.

Solution 2: Pay your outstanding balance

If you have an outstanding balance, your subscription will be suspended and you must pay the balance in full to continue using it.

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  2. Go to Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
  3. Locate the suspended subscription and then select it.
  4. Under Payment and billing, select Pay now.
  5. Choose how you want to pay and follow the instructions.

Try launching the game again.
