Error 8AC8000C occurs when you’re using your Xbox 360 Kinect sensor
You see the following error message when using your Kinect sensor for Xbox 360:
Couldn't hear the calibration tone.
8AC8000C
This means your Kinect microphone is having a problem hearing you. The microphone may not be calibrated correctly or is not positioned correctly.
Solutions
Solution 1: Select “More info” and then “Try again”
On your console, select More Info to see suggestions on how to correct the problem. After you make the suggested changes, select Try Again to see if the microphone hears you.
If you keep getting the error, try the next solution.
Solution 2: Make sure the Kinect sensor is positioned correctly
