Error message on Xbox One: "Your account is blocked from Buying in Microsoft Store"
If you see the following error message when you try to make a purchase on your Xbox One:
Your account is blocked from Buying in Microsoft Store. For more info, go to Xbox.com/PurchaseBlock
This may mean:
- There’s a temporary problem with the Xbox Live service.
- A privacy and online safety setting for your Microsoft account prevents you from making a purchase.
- Your Xbox One console or Microsoft account is banned.
Solution 1: Check the status of the Xbox Live service
If you see any alerts here, wait until the service is up and running and try again.
Solution 2: Check the settings on your Microsoft account
A privacy and online safety setting for your Microsoft account may be preventing you from making purchases. Sign in to Privacy & Online Safety and review your settings.
Solution 3: If your console or Microsoft account is banned
