Error C101001F occurs when you try to access a podcast in the Zune Music + Video software
Note As of November 15, 2015, the Zune service has been discontinued. This may cause errors when attempting to stream or download content or update the service.
You see the following error code when you try to access a podcast in the Zune Music + Video software:
This means that you can’t access the podcast. Typically, this issue occurs when a podcast subscription is no longer available from the Marketplace or when there’s a problem with your network.
Solution 1: Make sure that you’re connected to the Internet
You might have lost your Wi-Fi connection, your Internet service might be down, or your router might be offline and need to be restarted. To check if you’re connected to the Internet, follow these steps:
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Network and Sharing Center.
- Verify that you’re connected to the Internet. If you aren’t connected to the Internet, select Setup a new connection or network or Connect to a network.
Note If you’re connected to the wrong network, select the right network. Enter your passcode if requested.
If you can’t connect, there could be a problem with your Internet service. Wait and try again later or contact your Internet service provider.
Solution 2: Check the Xbox Live service status
If you see any alerts here, wait until the service is up and running and try again:
Solution 3: Delete the podcast subscription
If this error message is displayed when you try to play a podcast that you subscribe to but is no longer available, remove the podcast subscription in the Zune software. Here’s how:
- Open the Zune software.
- Click Collection at the top of your screen, and then click Podcasts.
- Locate and right-click the podcast title, and then select Delete.
