Change the passkey on your Xbox One console
Learn how to change the personal passkey on your Xbox One console to help keep your information safe and secure.
You'll need to know your current passkey to change it. If you've forgotten it, see You've forgotten your Xbox One passkey.
Delete your existing passkey
To change your passkey, you first have to delete the existing passkey:
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Settings.
|
- Select All Settings.
|
- Under Account, select Sign-in, security & passkey.
|
- Select Delete my passkey.
|
Create your new passkey
After you've deleted your old passkey, follow these steps to create a new one:
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
|

- Select Settings.
|
|
- Select All Settings.
|
|
- Under Account, select Sign-in, security & passkey.
|
|
- Select Create my passkey.
|
- Enter a six-digit passkey and re-enter it to confirm.
