Note The “x” digits vary.
Try the following solutions to resolve the problem.
Solution 1: Try installing the update again

If the problem is not resolved, try the next solution.
Solution 2: Make sure you have enough storage space
The latest console software update requires at least 190 megabytes (MB) of storage space (or 256 MB if you live in Japan). If you don't have enough free space, you need to move or delete some items. See Copy, move or delete Xbox saved games, profiles and avatar items.
If the problem is not resolved, try the next solution.
Solution 3: Clear the system cache
Removing the temporary files on your console might resolve the problem. To do this, see How to clear the cache on Xbox 360.
After clearing the cache, try the update again. If the problem is not resolved, try the next solution.
Solution 4: Reinsert the storage device
After you have replaced the storage device, try the update again. If the problem is not resolved, try the next solution.
Solution 5: Copy the update to a USB flash drive or disc and install it from there
Here's how:
Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.
You can also download the update on your computer, burn the update to a CD or DVD, and then install the update on your console. Here’s how:
Solution 6: Request a repair
If the previous solutions didn't resolve the problem, your console needs to be repaired. See Getting your Xbox console or Kinect sensor serviced.
