UnionPay cards are now accepted at merchants and ATMs in 141 countries and regions frequently visited by Chinese people across Europe, America, and Asian-Pacific regions including Australia and New Zealand.

Service is available in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China, providing 24-hour professional services.

How to open an account

Option 1: Open the account through the Internet at http://cn.unionpay.com

  1. Enter your bank card and verification numbers.
  2. Fill in the Bank Reserve phone number.
  3. Enter the SMS verification code when you receive it.
  4. Your new account will be successfully opened.

Option 2: Open the account over the phone.

  1. Call 95516 and follow the phone options to enter your bank card and verification numbers.
  2. Fill in Bank Reserve phone number. Obtain and enter the SMS verification code.
  3. Your new account will be successfully opened.

How to make a payment

  1. Enter your bank card and verification numbers.
  2. Enter the SMS verification code when you receive it.
  3. You should receive confirmation of a successful payment.
