Overview

The Headweb app on Xbox 360 doesn’t respond

To resolve this issue, delete and reinstall the Headweb app:

  1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to Settings and then System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device (most likely Xbox 360 Hard Drive).
  4. Select Games and Apps.
  5. Find and select any items that refer to “Headweb.”
  6. Select Delete. Confirm that you want to delete the item. After you've deleted all the items related to the app, go back to the Dashboard.
  7. From the Dashboard, go to apps, and then to Browse Apps or Search Apps.
  8. Browse or search for Headweb and then select it.
  9. Select Confirm Purchase to download and install the app.

Error messages

You may get one of the following error messages when you try to use the Headweb app:

Playback error

  • The playback session has timed out due to network inactivity. Please go back to reestablish the video stream.

This happens if the video has been paused for more than 90 seconds and the player has to reload the stream. Try the following solution:

  1. Try to play other content in the Headweb application.
  2. If you can successfully play other content, return to your previous selection and try to play it again.
  3. If you continue to get the error, check the Status page for current issues with the service provider.
  4. If there are no current issues and you get this error message when you try to start the Headweb app, wait about a minute and try to start the app again.
  5. If you keep getting the error, delete and reinstall the Headweb app.
  6. If the problem persists, contact Xbox Support.

Availability errors

  • Sorry, the Headweb server isn’t available right now. Please exit the application and try again later. For more information, go to www.headweb.com.

To resolve the error, follow these steps:

  1. Check the Status page for current issues.
  2. If there are no current issues and you get this error message when you try to start the Headweb app, wait about a minute and try to start the app again.
  3. If you keep getting the error, delete and reinstall the Headweb app.
  4. If the problem persists, contact Xbox Support.

Billing errors

The following errors can occur if there is a temporary billing service problem on Xbox Live or if there is an issue with your Xbox Live account:

  • There are pending purchases, but we were unable to cancel or settle them. Please try later.
  • The Headweb server could not initialize the purchase. Please try again later.
  • The billing currency of your Xbox Live profile does not match the billing currency of the region in which the purchase request was made. Please try later. If the problem persists, contact Headweb support.
  • The transaction could not be processed. Please try again later. [Error code 0x8NNNN]

To resolve the error, follow these steps:

  1. Retry the purchase immediately. This often works. If the previous purchase was not completed successfully, your Microsoft account will not be charged again.
  2. Retry the purchase in 24-72 hours.
  3. If the error persists, contact Xbox Customer Support.

Regional error

  • Unsupported region notice – Hi! It looks like you might be using Headweb from a country or region where we have not yet launched our service. Headweb is currently only available in the Nordic countries. Please be aware that for that reason you may not be able to view the entire content catalogue. If you think you are receiving this message in error, please contact support@headweb.com.

To be able to access Headweb:

  • Your Xbox must set to the locale of a Nordic country.
  • You must have an IP in a range from within a Nordic country.

If you get this message, see Change your Xbox 360 console or Xbox Live language for information about how to change the locale of your Xbox.

Locale error

  • Your console Ratings system is not supported by Headweb. Currently we support only the Nordic countries. You can turn off content controls in Settings, Family.

Your Xbox must be set to the locale of a Nordic country to use the appropriate ratings system. If you get this message, try one of these solutions:
