Set up and use the ShowTime app on Xbox 360

App requirements

To watch ShowTime on your Xbox 360 console, you need:

  • To be signed in to an Xbox Live account

  • At least 67 megabytes of available storage space

  • A broadband Internet connection

In addition, you must create a Rakuten ShowTime account when you activate the ShowTime app.

Download the ShowTime app

  1. On your console, sign in with your Xbox Live-enabled gamertag.

  2. Go to Apps and select Browse Apps.

  3. Browse for ShowTime.

  4. Select ShowTime to download and install the app.

To start the ShowTime app later, go to apps, My Apps, and then ShowTime.

Associate your console to your ShowTime account

  1. Go to apps, My Apps, and then ShowTime.

  2. Select Sign up (member registration).

  3. Enter and submit your email address.

  4. You will receive an email message from ShowTime that includes a hyperlink. Click that link to go to the ShowTime.

  5. Follow the steps on the website to register and create a new account.

  6. In the ShowTime app on your console, select Activate. A code will be displayed on your screen.

  7. In a browser, go to www.showtime.jp/app/activate/input/.

  8. Sign in to the account you created.

  9. Enter the code from your console (from step 6) in the Activate widow and select Activate.

Un-associate your console from your ShowTime account

To un-associate your gamertag from your ShowTime account:

  1. From the Settings hub in the ShowTime app, select Log out.

  2. Select Yes.

Watch ShowTime

  1. Go to apps, My Apps, and then ShowTime.

  2. From the ShowTime Home hub, you can:

    • Watch any of the featured programs displayed in remarkable contents or the center of the hub

    • Access your favorites

    • Access your purchase history

    • Access your new arrivals for the member

    You can also search for your favorite contents on the Search hub by new arrivals, categories, or alphabetical.

  3. Select something to watch, and then select Watch.

Use Family Settings to control access to content

If you use Family Settings to control which movies and TV shows can be watched through Xbox Live, the ShowTime app will follow these settings. For example, if you use parental controls to restrict some kinds of TV programs, those programs will be marked with a “restricted” icon in the ShowTime app. To play a restricted item, an adult must enter the Family Settings pass code.
