Solution 2: Disconnect and reconnect to Xbox Live

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > Network > Network settings.
    3. Select Disconnect wireless.
  2. Power cycle your Xbox One console. A full power cycle reboots the console fully.
    1. Turn off your console by holding the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds.
    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the power button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.
  3. Reconnect to Xbox Live.
Note For help establishing a connection, see the Xbox One First-Time Connection Solution.
  4. Sign in to your Xbox Live profile on your console. For more information, see the Xbox One Sign-In Solution.

Solution 3: Test your network connection

Power cycle your console if you haven’t already (see Solution 2).

Next, test your Xbox Live connection:

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  2. Select System > Settings > Network > Network settings.
  3. Select Test network connection.

If this solution worked, your console will connect to Xbox Live. If the test failed, try the Xbox One Network Connection Error Solution.

Note If you're prompted to update your console software, select Yes.
