Error 0x8007005 occurs when signing in to your Microsoft account on Xbox One
You get the following error message when you try sign in to your Microsoft account on your Xbox One console:
There was a problem
We couldn't sign you in. Try again in a few minutes, or check your account by signing in to account.live.com. Sign in 0x8007005
Solutions
To resolve the problem, try the following solutions.
Solution 1: Restart your Xbox One console
- Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
- Select Restart console.
- Select Restart.
- After the restart, try to sign in again.
Solution 2: Remove and redownload your profile
If you are still unable to sign in to your account, you will have to remove and re-add it to the console.
Step 1: Remove your account from the console
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide and select System.
- Select Settings > Account > Remove accounts.
- Select the account you want to remove and then confirm removal.
Note you may need to repeat the account removal process up to five times to clear the account from the list.
Step 2: Restart your Xbox One console
- Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
- Select Restart console.
- Select Restart .
Step 3: Re-add your account to the console
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Scroll up and select Sign in.
- Choose Add & manage.
- Select Add new.
- Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.
- Follow the instructions on the following screens to finish personalizing your settings.
