Vertical positioning for Xbox One X and Xbox One S

The Xbox One X and Xbox One S can both be positioned vertically, but each console requires a stand (sold separately) for vertical placement. The stand is different for each. Make sure you use only the stand designed for your Xbox.

Make sure you use only the stand designed for your Xbox, which helps console stability and operation. Without the stand, vertical positioning blocks a cooling vent.

Alternatively, third-party manufacturers make wall mounts for Xbox One X and Xbox One S for vertical orientation.

Whether you’re positioning your Xbox vertically or horizontally, make sure it’s on a flat, stable surface.

The Xbox One Accessories warranty covers whichever Microsoft stand you use. To request an in-warranty replacement, go to Microsoft device services. If you are out of warranty, you can buy a replacement stand at the Microsoft Store or participating retailers.

If you need your Xbox serviced by Microsoft, remove the stand before sending in the console.
