Error 8015DC12 occurs when you try to launch a game or app on Xbox One or PC
You see the following error code when you try to launch a game or an app on your Xbox One console or PC:
This means you might need to wait a few minutes and then try to play the content again, or you'll need to restart your console or PC.
Solution 1: Check the Xbox Live service status
If you see any alerts here, wait until the service is up and running and try again:
Solution 2: Restart the console
To resolve this problem, restart your Xbox One console, and then try to launch the game or app again. Here's how:
- Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
- Select Restart console.
- Select Restart.
- Try to play the content again.
Note If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart. Try to play the content again.
On your PC
- On your PC, press the Windows button .
- Select the Power button > Restart.
Note If the PC appears to be frozen, press and hold the Power key on the device for 10 seconds, until the PC turns off. After it shuts down, press the Power key to restart.
