Error 0x80246016 occurs when you try to install or update the Movies & TV app on Xbox One
You see the following error code when you try to install or update the Movies & TV app on Xbox One:
0x80246016
This may mean there has been a network interruption.
Solutions
Solution 1: Stop the installation and then try installing the app again
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Home.
- Highlight the My games & apps tile.
- Press the Menu button and then select Quit.
- Wait at least ten seconds, and then try to install the Movies & TV app again.
Solution 2: Cancel the app installation and then reinstall
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Home.
- Select My games & apps.
- Select Queue.
- Under Queue, highlight the Movies & TV installation, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Cancel.
You can then reinstall the app by downloading it again from the Store. To download the app again, search for the app in the Store, select the app, and then select Install.
