Error AP401 occurs when launching Forza Motorsport 6: Apex

You get the following error code when you try to launch Forza Motorsport 6: Apex

AP401

This means that your system memory does not meet the minimum requirements to run Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. You must have a minimum of 8 GB system RAM to download the game.

Solution

To resolve this problem, check your system storage and install additional RAM as necessary:

Press the Windows logo key+R to open the Run dialog box.
Type "dxdiag" and then press Enter to launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
On the System tab in the System Information window, look at Memory. The amount listed must be 8 GB or higher to run Forza Motorsport 6: Apex.
