Error 8015102A occurs when you try to promote an Xbox Live child account to an adult account
You see the following error and message when you try to promote an Xbox Live child account to an adult account:
Status code: 8015102A
This action cannot be performed at this time.
If you get this error, there may be a problem with your account. For example, there may be a problem with the security information.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Go to account.live.com.
- Sign in by using your Microsoft Account.
- Under Password and security info, click Edit security info.
- Verify the information in the following fields:
- Phone number
- Alternative email address
- Trusted PC
- Security question
- After you have verified the security information, click OK.
After you’ve verified your information, try to promote the child account again.
If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support.
