To manage the payment option for your child's Xbox subscription, you must sign in using the Microsoft email address and password of the child's account, not the parent's account.
If the payment option you use to pay for your child's Xbox subscription is expired or no longer valid, you'll need to update it so they don't lose access to their subscription.
Here's how to change how you pay for your child's Xbox subscription online:

After you've updated how you pay for your child's Xbox subscription, you can remove the payment option you no longer want to use.
If you want to add, change, or update a payment option for your child's Microsoft account that is not tied to an Xbox subscription, go to Add, update or remove credit cards and other ways to pay and follow the instructions.
If you want to use a prepaid subscription code instead of a renewing subscription, you can redeem a prepaid code online. You'll still need to cancel your child's current Xbox subscription to avoid any renewal fees.
If your child's Xbox subscription is past due, adding a prepaid subscription code will not settle the balance you owe. You'll need to settle the past-due balance before redeeming your prepaid code.
If you want to prevent unauthorized purchases by your child, see Prevent unauthorized purchases by children on Xbox One.
