You may see the following error code and message when you get a red light on the Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor:
A problem has occurred with your Kinect Sensor
Error code: C000022D
This may mean that the sensor is not connected correctly, or your console software might need updating.
Solution 1: Update your console software

Update Required: An update has been found. To apply this update, you must restart your console.
Solution 2: Check the cables

Important Remove the Power/USB adaptor cable if your Kinect sensor came with one.

The light located near the middle of the cable should be green.
No green light? Try plugging the cable into another power point to make sure that the cable is working properly. If you need to replace the cable, contact Xbox Support using the Assistance information at the bottom of this page.
If you've tried the steps above but are still having a problem, try this:
Solution 3: Request a repair
If these steps don't resolve the problem, go to the Online Service Centre and click Start Request to request a repair.
