Error 8 occurs when you use the Xbox 360 Kinect microphone
You see the following error message when you use the microphone on your Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor:
Kinect couldn’t hear the whole calibration tone.
This means the Kinect sensor microphone is having trouble hearing you.
Solution 1: Select “More info” and then “Try again”
On the error message that appears on your console, select More Info to see suggestions on how to correct the problem. After you make the suggested changes, select Try Again to run the test again.
Solution 2: Make sure the Kinect sensor is positioned correctly

Solution 3: Request a repair
